Biography:
Samuel "Sam" Wilson, formerly known as Falcon, is a prominent superhero in the Marvel Universe and the current Captain America. He was created by Stan Lee and Gene Colan, first appearing in Captain America #117 in 1969.
Wilson initially served in the United States Air Force. After leaving the Air Force, he became a social worker dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth. His life changed when he encountered Steve Rogers, the original Captain America. Through a combination of enhanced abilities and specialized wings, he became Falcon, Captain America's trusted partner.
Following Steve Rogers' aging and subsequent retirement from the role, Rogers chose Wilson to inherit the mantle and shield of Captain America. Wilson, initially hesitant, ultimately accepted the responsibility and embraced the symbol of hope and justice. He now fights to uphold Captain America's legacy, tackling global threats and continuing the fight for freedom and equality.
